All staff are members of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
All of our staff have training in the following areas:
- Social/emotional development of young children
- Developmentally appropriate practices
- Literacy, numeric and phonemic awareness
- Fine and Gross motor development
- Brain Gym in the classroom
Tammy Wentz
Tammy Wentz is the owner, director and teacher for Enchanted Learning Preschool. Tammy has her Associates of Applied Science Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has 20 years of experience as an early childhood educator. Tammy lives in Rock Springs and her experience comes from teaching the children in Sweetwater County. In addition to, and as a support to her degree Tammy also has had extensive training in the following areas:
- Developmentally appropriate practices for all stages of child development
- Language (receptive and descriptive)development of young children
- Working with children with O.D.D.,O.C.D.
- Working with children who have special behavior or emotional needs
Tammy has been trained in how the brain and body work together. She uses activities to promote and support the philosophy of “Eat Smart, Play Smart, and Be Smart”. She is trained in using “Brain Gym” and relaxation techniques in the classroom to enhance full brain development and usage by moving & relaxing the body.
Tammy also has an Infant & Toddler Directorship from the state of Wyoming.
Mandy Sewell
Mandy Sewell is also a teacher and assistant director at Enchanted Learning Preschool. Mandy has her Associates of Applied Science Degree in Early Childhood Education. She also has 14 years experience as an early childhood educator. Mandy was born and raised in Rock Springs and her experience comes from teaching children in Sweetwater County.
Jayce Schneider
Jayce schneider is an assistant teacher at Enchanted Learning Preschool. Jayce has 1 1/2 years of experience with Enchanted Learning Preschool. Jayce has completed all the required classes towards obtaining his Child Development Associates (CDA) through Laramie County Community College.
LaGena Clark
LaGena Clark is an assistant teacher at Enchanted Learning Preschool. She has 14 years of experience working with children in Sweetwater County. LaGena is currently working towards obtaining her Child Development Associates (CDA) through Laramie County Community College.
Leslie Harper
Leslie Harper is the lead teacher for our new Infant-Toddler program. Leslie has 3 years of experince working with children in Sweetwater County.
All Staff at Enchanted Learning Preschool support childrens' creativity, independence and self responsibility. The classrooms are based on each child’s individual needs. This supports their personalized needs and growth in the areas of social/emotional, physical and cognitive development.
All Staff at Enchanted Learning Preschool believe in continuing education. Everyone attends trainings, workshops and classes to stay up to date with the latest best practices and techniques for working with young children.
